Common Questions

Which facial should I book first?

At Sunwaves Facial Studio in Waterdown, the Signature Facial is the place to start. It is $135 and takes 60 minutes. We assess your skin, talk about your concerns and customize the treatment for you. If your main question is about your home routine and products, book a $50 Skin Coaching session first. It runs in studio or virtually.

How often should I get a facial?

It depends on your skin and your goals. Skin turns over roughly every four weeks, so monthly facials suit a specific goal. For maintenance, every six to eight weeks works well. After your facial at Sunwaves, we recommend a rhythm, and the decision is yours. Monthly Membership is $89 per facial, and Seasonal Membership is five facials in 12 months at $109 each.

What is the difference between a facial and a specialty facial?

At Sunwaves, the Signature Facial ($135, 60 minutes) is customized to your skin on the day and suits any starting point. A specialty facial follows a G.M. Collin protocol built for one goal: Hydrolifting for hydration, Collagen 90 for firmness, or Sea C for brightening. Specialty facials start at $155. We recommend a Signature Facial first, so we know how your skin responds.
